“Bruciare (To burn) / Into us” is linked to the working and human union with my partner and muse Rosaria Di Maro which totally absorbs us. What we always try to find within ourselves and our collaborators is a burning flame. Flame of redemption, of change.

Burning the old to make room for the new, without forgetting it. I have always felt a fire burning inside when I am creating.

Being very instinctive and creating material on the moment when I'm in the studio, I let myself be carried away by this energy,

this fire that is constantly fueled; and I always thought that this was my way to burn away pain, anxieties, worries and make them become something more bearable. My way to escape from reality and burn it to absorb only the energy that cannot harm me.

The desire is to create more evenings, all linked to different authors and which for different reasons are close to thoughts, ideas and emotions that I feel very close to some topics or key words of our work.

The first author on whom I would like to sew this "format" is Chopin, simply because he is perhaps the musical author who comes closest to certain rhythms that embody the main essence of my choreographic work. Unexpected events, silences and pauses.

Elements that from the first moment I encountered dance fascinated me and transported me to who I am today.

Chopin was able to give his sound emotionality, lyricism, passion.

A sound that never arises as merely aesthetic, but which "always starts from an understood emotional disposition".
